Pompeii and the Roman Village: Art and Culture around the Bay of Naples was organized by the National Gallery of Art, Washington, in association with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, with the cooperation of the Direzione Regionale per i Beni Culturali e Paesaggistici della Campania and the Soprintendenza Speciale per i Beni Archeologici di Napoli e Pompei.
The exhibition was presented in the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C., from October 19th 2008 to March 22nd 2009, and in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art from May 3rd to October 4th 2009. Pompeii and the Roman Villa. Art and Culture around the bay of Naples brochure was written by Susan M. Arensberg with Rebecca Molholt, from the department of exhibition programs, and produced by the publishing office, National Gallery of Art.
